Itinerary
09:00 — Ciqikou Ancient Town
A Ming-era river port of stepped lanes, tea houses and chili-paste shops climbing from the Jialing. Arrive at opening and you share it with locals doing their shopping instead of tour groups.
11:30 — Hotpot lunch
Chongqing invented the nine-grid bubbling-red hotpot and takes it deadly seriously. Your driver steers you to an honest den and helps calibrate the spice — 'mild' here still means something.
13:30 — Liziba & city viewpoints
Watch the Line 2 monorail slide straight through the middle of a 19-storey apartment block — the viewing deck below frames the shot perfectly — then take in the stacked city from Eling Park's ridge-top pavilion.
15:30 — Yangtze River Cableway
A 1980s commuter cable car reborn as the city's best moving viewpoint: five minutes of skyline, river traffic and vertigo, one way across the Yangtze where your driver is already waiting.
18:30 — Hongya Cave at dusk
The stilt-house complex switches on as the sky goes navy — eleven golden storeys hanging above the river. See it from the opposite bank first for the full postcard, then wander the lanes inside.
20:00 — Drop-off
Hotel, or the pier if you're boarding a Yangtze cruise — Chongqing is the classic embarkation city.

Is one day enough for Chongqing?
One full day covers the city's icons convincingly because a driver deletes all the vertical navigation time. But the region's best scenery — Wulong's karst bridges — needs its own day; that's why our 3-day journey exists.
We're boarding a Yangtze cruise here. Can you time the day around it?
Perfectly — it's one of our most common requests. We collect you (and your luggage) in the morning, run the full city day, and deliver you to the cruise pier for evening boarding.
Does the driver speak English?
